Sweet & Sticky Korean Fried Chicken Ramen

Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, cut into chunks
5 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic salt
½ tsp dried thyme
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp oregano
3 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp Gochujang paste
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
25ml soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp minced ginger
Vegetable oil for frying
2 Kabuto Noodles Miso Ramen Pots
2 eggs, fried
Spring onions, sliced for serving
Furikake seasoning (for serving)
Preparations
- In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, pepper, garlic salt, thyme, paprika and oregano and mix together well then dredge your chicken chunks in the flour coating all of the chicken well.
- In a large deep saucepan add the chicken to hot oil and cook for 3–5 mins until golden brown and cooked through.
- To make the sauce add the sesame oil, Gochujang paste, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger and stir together on a medium heat until fully combined then bring to the boil for 1 min then add the fried chicken and toss in the sauce until all of the chicken is coated.
- Fill the Kabuto Noodles with hot water and leave to cook as per the packet instructions and then empty into two ramen bowls and top with the korean fried chicken, a crispy fried egg, a handful of spring onions and a sprinkling of furikake seasoning then enjoy!
